The Clippers retained Russell Westbrook by signing the former NBA MVP to a two-year deal. In order to stay in Los Angeles, he took a significant pay cut – from a salary of $47 million last season to around $4 million this year.

As noted by HoopsHype, Westbrook’s pay cut is the highest in the league history, overtaking Blake Griffin.

Last season Westbrook averaged 15.8 points, 4.9 rebounds and 7.6 assists in 30.2 minutes per game.
