The Detroit Pistons have waived shooting guard Roderick “R. J.” Hampton Jr. who was on a non-guaranteed $1.9 million contract for next season.
He joined Detroit after a mid-season waiver from the Orlando Magic. In 21 games with the Pistons, Hampton averaged 7.3 points in 18.5 minutes per contest.
