The Lakers put themselves in great position in the first round series against the Grizzlies. After winning Game 4 in Los Angeles (117-111 in overtime), the Purple and Gold are just a win away from make it to the next round.
James Worthy, who won three NBA championships as a Laker, says that he feels the excitement that he felt in 2010 when the Lakers won a title with Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol.
“I have been so excited since the Lakers won Game 3,” Worthy said on Spectrum SportsNet. “I haven’t been this excited since 2010. I enjoyed the bubble championship… You feel something in that arena when the fans cover you with that kind of support.
“That was such a beautiful game what we’ve been looking for to have that collective effort. And it’s good to have a coach here who understands those sequences that goes on because the game was getting away from them.”
