Anthony Davis: “My brain fart almost cost us the game”

The Lakers survived an overtime thriller against the Timberwolves (108-102) to clinch a playoff spot as the seven seed.

With 0.1 seconds left to play in the fourth quarter Los Angeles led by three points when Anthony Davis fouled Mike Conley on a three-point attempt.

The veteran point guard knocked down all three free-throws to send the game to overtime. The Lakers were better in the extra five minutes (10-4) and took the victory.

After the game Davis talked about his foul on Conley, saying that it was his brain fart.

“That was totally on me. My brain fart,” AD said. They tried to close out on Mike [Conley], he caught it in the corner and faded out of bounds while I was going.

“But it goes back to the next play mentality. We got it done in overtime. So, we got a couple of days off. It’s a battle. My brain fart almost cost us the game.”

The Purple and Gold will face the Grizzlies in the first round series of the playoffs.
