Hope has been swirling around the Cleveland Cavaliers camp that Isaac Okoro will be ready for their playoff opener soon, per Chris Fedor of Cleveland.com.

Okoro, 22, is set to miss his six-straight game on Sunday as he continues to nurse his left knee soreness. He has been out since Mar. 26 but went on to participate in the team’s Saturday workout which includes set shots followed by movement-based jumpers from 18 to 23 feet as described by Fedor.

Coach J.B. Bickerstaff described Okoro’s status day-to-day basis, which may be optimistic on the side of the Cavs as they are set to enter the postseason arena.

Locking the Eastern Conference’s fourth-seed, the Cavaliers are slated for a first-round war against fifth-placers in New York Knicks.

As New York features their star point man Jalen Brunson, Okoro’s presence would be integral as he stands as Cleveland’s primary defensive ace with Lamar Stevens.
