Israeli guard Gal Mekel will not be joining up with new club Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv due to an “incompatibility”.
The club released a duo of tweets, wishing Mekel well in his future endeavours but did not specify exactly why he would sign with the club.

Mekel, a former Dallas Mavericks and New Orleans Pelicans guard returned to Europe to play for Nizhny Novgorod in February and was due to ink a three-year deal with Maccabi, which included NBA outs.
