Kevin Durant requested to be traded by the Nets twice in less than one year. His first request came last summer and the second time was just before this year’s trade deadline.

Brooklyn satisfied his second demand and traded him to the Suns in a blockbuster trade. The two-time NBA champion says that his decision to ask out was a reaction to Kyrie Irving’s trade request.

“Once he asked out, I was just trying to figure out what direction the team is going in,” KD said, via NBA Retweet. “Once I had no understanding of what direction we’re going in, I tried to make the best decision for me.”
