The Hawks lost against the Grizzlies at home (119-123) which was Atlanta’s 38th loss of the season. With 7 regular season games left to play, the team is 8th in the Eastern Conference.
Atlanta could climb to the sixth place but it will take a near perfect performance over the remaining games. Hawks’ star Trae Young is not think that far in the future.
“We can’t really look too much and too far ahead on all these seven games,” Young said. “You just got to continue to play one game at a time. I think we got one more [game at home] before we go out on the road and have to come back.
“So, we got to take care of that first one before we out on the road. And I just take it one game at a time. I mean, we can control what we can control. So, that’s all that matters.”
