The Warriors lost narrowly at home agains the Timberwolves (96-99). After scoring 55 points in the first half, Golden State stalled in the second and scored just 41 points.
Dubs’ head coach Steve Kerr was asked about what caused his team’s offense to be less effective in the second half.
“A lot of quick, bad shots, didn’t move the ball,” he said. “There were a ton of 18-foot fadeaway shots with somebody wide open. We didn’t make the defense move an extra rotation, two extra rotations.
“They’re a good defensive team. They got size at every position. If you don’t move them around, it’s going to be tough. And we didn’t move them around. We were all trying to do it on our own out there.”
Despite the loss, the Warriors remain in the sixth place in the Western Conference which would give the defending NBA champions a direct playoff spot.
