The Phoenix Suns are optimistic on Kevin Durant’s recovery as they eye the superstar to be activated by the end of March, per Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Charania noted that Durant has began doing some more on-court action in preparation for his return to the team.

Durant notably sustained an ankle sprain after slipping himself accidentally in his pregame workout last Mar. 8 in a matchup against the Oklahoma City Thunder. He missed the team’s last six games, with Phoenix carving a 2-4 record.

The star forward already made an appearance for the Suns for three games, all resulting in wins as Durant averaged 29.5 points in a sizzling 80.8 percent true shooting rate.

The Suns will look to continue their goal to lock a postseason berth even with Durant still out as they are ranked fourth in the West with a 38-33 record.
