The Nuggets defeated the Heat (112-108) for the second straight win. Denver further solidified their position as the top team in the Western Conference.
With 40 wins and 18 losses, the Nuggets have the second-best record in the NBA, only behind the Celtics (41-16). According to former coach George Karl, who coached Denver through 2005-2013, this may be the best Nuggets team ever.
To have that status, he says, Denver has to go further that the teams of the did, namely, reach the NBA Finals.
“40 wins pre ASG is special. This may be the best Nuggets team ever but they gotta go further than 76, 85 and 09. And they can!” Karl tweeted.
