Nuggets’ Bones Hyland unbothered on inclusion within recent trade chirpings

With his name hotly emerging in the previous rumblings ahead of next week’s trade deadline, Bones Hyland can only treat them like dust.

Hyland told DNVR Sports’ Harrison Wind that he doesn’t pay very much attention to trade chatters with the Denver Nuggets.

“I don’t care. It doesn’t bother me at all. I don’t pay no mind to it. Whatever happens, happens. I know God’s got me. I don’t really care.”

With Denver hoping to capitalize their window in the ongoing reigns of two-time MVP Nikola Jokic, they are determined to modify their lineup in preparation for what could be a basketball war for a title. As such, Hyland appeared for them as a probable candidate that can help them retool.

The second-year pro stands as a talented guard with immense scoring ability. But the Nuggets, being a championship contender focused on following the needs of Jokic and their chances to compete, doesn’t have that much time needed to cater his development.

Hyland believes that the NBA will maintain its business side and regardless of what happens, he is optimistic about the future of his career.

“Yeah, it is,” Hyland added. “But it’s also about being comfortable with yourself. I’m not the type to overthink something. Or think that this decision is going to put me at the bottom of the world. I know I’ll be good regardless of what happens.”
