Kyrie Irving reacts to Kevin Durant’s knee injury

Kevin Durant had to leave the game against the Heat early and missed the entire fourth quarter after injuring his knee. He played 30 minutes and scored 17 points as the Nets managed to take a one-point win.

It is yet to be determined how serious the injury is. Durant could possibly be out for an extended period of time. His injury at a time when Brooklyn was on a roll winning a 14 of the last 15 games.

After the game Kyrie Irving talked about Durant’s injury and what it means for the team. “It doesn’t feel good emotionally to be honest with you,” he said. “It was definitely going to to be easy for me to kind of let my emotions show, just had a choice to make and things like that.

“We K, we know who we’re up against with him not being in the lineup. We can say it every single day, but we don’t have time for any excuses. We just got to keep moving forward and stay mature about it like I said.”

This season Durant is averaging 30 points, 6.8 rebounds and 5.4 assists in 36.1 minutes per game. The Nets are currently in the second place in the Eastern Conference with 27 wins and 13 losses.
