Jacque Vaughn managed to turn around the Nets’ season since taking over the team from Steve Nash. Brooklyn has won 8 of the last 9 games and is currently in the 4th place in the Eastern Conference.
Ben Simmons says that the new head coach trusts the players and gives them freedom. However, that comes with additional responsibility.
“He trusts us a lot, I think he gives us that freedom,” the 26-year-old point guard said of Vaughn, via Ethan Sears of New York Post. “But with that comes responsibility in terms of being a professional, locking in, focusing on the floor.”
This season Simmons is averaging 8.3 points, 6.7 rebounds and 5.8 assists in 27.4 minutes per game.
