Even though Russell Westbrook appears to have accepted a bench role on the Lakers, the rumors about his potential trade continue to circulate.

It is thought that the former NBA MVP would not stay with the team to which he gets traded and instead would be bought out. In such case the 34-year-old point guard would be free to sign with any team.

According to Eric Pincus of Bleacher Report, the Heat would be a potential landing spot for Westbrook should he be bought out and become a free agent.

This season Russ is averaging 14.7 points, 5.9 rebounds and 7.5 assists in 28.3 minutes per game.
