The Toronto Raptors’ progress this season has been an enticing sight to see around several key people within the association.

Sources told ESPN’s Zach Lowe that rival circles are watching closely on the Raps, wherein they are “bracing for fireworks” should the club remains clinging around the .500 mark in two months.

Lowe pointed out certain questions that will remain focal on Toronto’s continuing movement this season, like if Masai Ujiri allow the club to remain at the mid-level of contention, if Fred VanVleet will still be that player they aspire about, or if the long trio of Scottie Barnes, Pascal Siakam and OG Anunoby will still fit long-term.

Currently this season, the Raptors are sitting in seventh place in the East with a 13-12 record, one game above the .500 level. As such, while Anunoby and Siakam are having their career years, both VanVleet and Barnes are meanwhile struggling. VanVleet is only shooting in a career-worst 36 percent shooting en route to 16.8 points average, and Barnes is having a low sophomore season amid a Rookie of the Year finish last season. However, Barnes continues to be one to watch and is tipped to play a pivotal part in the success of the 2022/23 Season.

As the season is still early yet, the Raptors have a few more games to assess what will be their upcoming moves to direct themselves on their desired plans this campaign.
