Luka Doncic on Mavericks’ lineup with Christian Wood

Mavericks newcomer Christian Wood is having to settle for a bench role this season. After starting basically every game for the Rockets for two years, he has not started a single time for Dallas.

The 27-year-old center expressed may want to be a starter, but Jason Kidd has other plans for him. In a recent game against the Bucks, Wood was on the lineup that started the second half and helped the Mavs to cut down the lead.

He finished the game with 21 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists in 32 minutes of play, while starting center Dwight Powell only played 8 minutes and scored 4 points. However, Dallas ended up losing.

After the game Luka Doncic was asked about the lineup that included Wood. “It’s a good lineup. I don’t know who exactly was in – it’s a lot of lineups,” the Slovenian superstar said. “Christian is a great player and he helped us a lot.”
