Marcin Gortat open about touring Kyrie Irving in WW2-stricken Poland to help educate about antisemitism

Former NBA big man Marcin Gortat has expressed his willingness to tour Kyrie Irving in his home country Poland.

Gortat told TMZ Sports that a travel can help the embattled Brooklyn Nets guard to be educated about the horrors of antisemitism.

Though he doesn’t holds any Jewish beliefs, Gortat understands the harsh history of antisemitism. Poland became a victim nation of the fascist ruling of Nazi proponent Adolf Hitler in the second world war, propagating the Holocaust that brutally killed millions of innocent jews through gas chambers and inhumane tortures and experiments.

“If he wants to learn something about the stuff he was talking about,” Gortat said of Irving, “I can invite him to Poland and he will learn more about the whole situation.”

For Gortat, Irving’s promotion of the movie “Hebrew to Negroes: Wake Up Black America!” is “completely wrong.” The said 2018 film based on a book by the same name was heavily condemned for containing antisemitic tropes and conspiracies.

Days after public backlash and hesitancy to air his regrets, Irving already made an apology via Instagram.

His suspension of at least five games has already reached its mark. As such, Nets owner Joe Tsai made it clear that Irving “still has work to do” in order to make a return from team activities.
