The Indiana Pacers announced Thursday that veteran big man Daniel Theis underwent a successful surgery to address the persistent soreness in his right knee.

Per report, Theis will be out indefinitely and his status will be updated as appropriate.

Theis, 29, is yet to suit up for the Indiana Pacers this season, as the said knee soreness remains a roadblock to let him finally play.

The Pacers acquired Theis in a package that sent Malcolm Brogdon to the Boston Celtics last offseason. He averaged 8.2 points, 4.9 boards in 51.9 percent shooting last season, splitting his stints with the Celtics and the Houston Rockets.
