Sixers pick up 23/24 team option on Tyrese Maxey, Jaden Springer

The Philadelphia 76ers have picked up their fourth-year team option on Tyrese Maxey, as well as their third-year rights on Jaden Springer.

Maxey will be guaranteed a $4,343,920 next season, while Springer will gain $2,226,240.

The 21st pick of the 2020 Draft, Maxey instantly transformed into a franchise core member of the Sixers with Joel Embiid and James Harden. Throughout 143 career games played, he is averaging 13.7 points, 3.3 assists, 2.6 boards in 48 percent shooting.

Springer, 20, has only appeared in four NBA games but had a promising stint for the team’s G League affiliate Delaware Blue Coats last season.
