LeBron James shared a lighthearted moment with Tyrese Maxey and his infant daughter, Marvel, in a behind-the-scenes clip posted by the NBA, offering a glimpse of the growing bond between the four-time champion and his new Philadelphia 76ers teammates.
In the video, Maxey holds his daughter while chatting with James on the sidelines. The two exchange smiles and jokes as James interacts with the baby.
“Say what’s up, Uncle Bron,” Maxey says while encouraging Marvel to acknowledge James. The conversation then turns to a playful nickname, with Maxey telling his daughter, “You can call him Papa Bron if you want!”
James responds with a humorous observation about the age difference between them and Marvel.
“By the time she get 10, imma be in my 50s!” the 41-year-old James said.
The conversation continued as the two discussed how quickly babies develop. James reacted with surprise while Maxey explained that Marvel is approaching five months old.
The brief interaction offers a more personal look at James as he prepares for his first season in Philadelphia. He joined the 76ers on a two-year, $8 million contract after leaving the Lakers, taking a veteran-minimum deal as he pursues another NBA championship.

The 76ers also acquired Jaylen Brown from the Boston Celtics in a blockbuster trade that sent Paul George and draft picks to Boston, giving Maxey another elite scorer alongside Joel Embiid.
Maxey remains central to Philadelphia’s plans after establishing himself as one of the team’s leading players. His connection with James could be important as the 76ers attempt to turn their revamped roster into a championship contender.
The team also added several other players during the offseason, including Dean Wade, Anfernee Simons and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope. Philadelphia is entering the new campaign with high expectations after finishing 45-37 last season before being swept by the New York Knicks in the second round of the playoffs.
