Shai Gilgeous-Alexander will be activated on the Oklahoma City Thunder’s season opener against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday, Joe Mussatto of The Oklahoman detailed on Tuesday.

Gilgeous-Alexander skipped the OKC’s entire preseason run as he nursed his Grade 2 MCL sprain in his left knee. As he is now set to be available, all signs are pointing to the fact that he made a full recovery.

The Canadian guard averaged career-high numbers in scoring (24.5 points) and assists (5.9) in 34.7 minutes per game over his 56 appearances in the 2021-22 campaign. As such, he is expected to spearhead the Thunder’s ongoing youth program this new season.
