The Utah Jazz have reached a multi-year contract extension agreement with general manager Justin Zanik.

Zanik had a busy offseason of orchestrating a fire sale on the side of the Jazz, trading away Rudy Gobert, Donovan Mitchell, Bojan Bogdanovic and Royce O’Neale to set up the franchise for a long-term rebuild project.

“My family and I have fallen in love with this great city and the state of Utah, and I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to continue this journey with the Utah Jazz,” said Zanik. “I have a deep appreciation for my partnership with Ryan and Danny and am excited about our path forward with Coach Hardy. We look forward to building towards winning the championship our fans deserve.”

Zanik has been holding the said position for four-consecutive seasons, overseeing basketball operations duty.

He initially joined the Jazz brass from 2013 to 2016 as an assistant manager. After a one-year run as an executive for the Milwaukee Bucks, he made a return to the club in the same role in 2017-2019.
