Dennis Schroder played his first preseason game for the Lakers since signing with the team in September. The 29-year-old German point guard went scoreless in just under 10 minutes of play.
After the game LeBron James talked about having Schroder again on the team. “It’s just great to have him back,” the four-time NBA champion said. “I thought he had a hell of a summer. Euro basketball [EuroBasket] he was amazing throughout the whole summer, made the first time All-Euro[Basket].
“That was exceptional basketball on all three levels: finishing at the rim, shooting the three, mid-range, also I think he averaged, like, 6.5-7 assists per game as well. It’s good to see the way he performed.
“And tonight I don’t really care about the misses and the makes, we just want him to get caught up with the speed on with what we’ve been doing. He’s played enough basketball so we know he’ll be alright.”
