Ayo Dosunmu to start for the Bulls next season with Lonzo Ball still out

With Lonzo Ball taking his time to recover from another knee surgery, Sophomore Ayo Dosunmu is slated to start at the point man for the Chicago Bulls.

As confirmed by head coach Billy Donovan, Dosunmu has won the starting bid against the likes of Coby White and Goran Dragic and is steadily impressive since the start of training camp and preseason.

“Ayo right now is going to be the guy back there for us,” Donovan said, via Annie Costabile of The Chicago Sun-Times.  “He’s done a really good job this training camp and preseason.”

Drafted by the Bulls for the 38th pick of last year’s draft, Dosunmu has been a reliable contributor at the point. He averaged 8.8 points, 3.3 assists and 2.8 boards last season, which earned him NBA All-Rookie Second Team honors.
