Bucks star Khris Middleton not expected to miss much time from wrist surgery recovery – report

Khris Middleton will be back sooner than what is being anticipated.

Per ESPN’s Zach Lowe, the Milwaukee Bucks star is not expected to miss much time as he continues to nurse his wrist surgery.

Middleton took a medical procedure in July to address an issue in his left wrist. The Bucks formally announced he won’t be ready to play in their season opener, but the veteran swingman is hoping to be back as soon as possible.

“Sometime around after the (2022) All-Star break, I just felt it during one game and it kind of just never went away,” Middleton detailed about the occurrence of his wrist injury. “It wasn’t too painful, just something that was going to have to be fixed at some point.”

Middleton’s absence severely tested the Bucks in last postseason. Without his stellar shooting and streaky scoring production upon suffering from an MCL sprain, the ball club failed to defend their 2021 title and ultimately fell in seven-gruelling games against the eventual Eastern Conference champions Boston Celtics in the second round stage.

With him out for plenty of games, Milwaukee will possibly look into the outputs of Pat Connaughton and Wes Matthews at the wing. Meanwhile, both Giannis Antetokounmpo and Jrue Holiday are expected to carry a heavier offensive load.
