Klay Thompson will need more time to ramp up before playing in preseason games for the Warriors. According to the Warriors head coach Steve Kerr, the 32-year-old shooting guard is no yet prepared to play.
The four-time NBA champion revealed that he did not play pick up basketball this summer because of a “mental block” because two years go he suffered a season-ending injury during a pick up game.
“I didn’t play a lot this summer. It was hard especially when went through the last summer when I was healthy popping my Achilles it was really hard for me to go out there mentally it was hard,” Thompson said. “It’s hard to explain, it’s like a mental block in a way. I’m gonna face it one day.”
