Ime Udoka says Celtics were not avoiding Nets

The Celtics will face the Nets in the first round of the playoffs after Brooklyn earned its spot in the postseason by eliminating the Cavaliers.

Boston’s head coach Ime Udoka says that his team was not trying to avoid the Nets or any other team and were focused on themselves instead.

“We weren’t running from anybody, we were looking at ourselves the whole time. To each his own. In order to win, you have to win against really good teams at some point, so that was our approach to it,” he said, per Mark Murphy.

The Celtics won the regular season season against Brooklyn 3-1. Boston is the 2nd seed in the Eastern Conference with a 51-31 record which is the same as that of the Bucks and 76ers.
