Wenyen Gabriel received another chance in the NBA, this time from the Lakers. The 25-year-old forward impressed the team and was rewarded with a two-year standard deal which includes a team option for the 2022-2023 season.
Looking ahead to the next year, Gabriel is excited about what is in store. “Super excited,” he said after the Thunder game. “Like I said, another opportunity for me to go out there, win some games and prove what I can do as a player.
“It’s a big summer for me to put in a lot of work. I never had a full summer where I’m healthy to get a lot of work in. I’m excited to see my development throughout the summer and show what I can do next year.”
This season Gabriel is averaging 4.6 points, 3.3 rebounds in 14.6 minutes per game for Los Angeles.
