Talen Horton-Tucker exploded with career-high 40 points as the Lakers fell against the Warriors for their 8th consecutive loss. After the game he talked about assuming a role this year next to the three superstars.

“Coming to the year I understood who I was playing with, playing with Bron, AD and Russ, those being the guys who have the ball in their hands, I knew was going to have to settle in a role that wasn’t going to have the ball,” Horton-Tucker said.

“With the year being up and down and us being eliminated now I feel like just being aggressive in times that we finish off is going to be important for us no matter if it’s me, Austin, Malik, Stanley, other guys, Dwight, anybody just bringing a lift is going to be important.”

This season the 21-year-old shooting guard is averaging 9.3 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.6 assists in 22 minutes per game.
