Ben Simmons is yet to suit for the Brooklyn Nets since joining the team in a blockbuster trade that involved James Harden, among others.
The 25-year-old point guard has been held by back problems that bothered him every time he practiced with the team. Even though the regular season is very close to a finish, there is hope within the Nets that Simmons will play this year.
“Ben Simmons is exactly what the Nets are missing right now.. there is an expectation that he will play this year,” NBA insider Shams Charania said on Pat McAfee show.
The Nets will likely have to fight for a playoff spot via the play-in tournament. They are currently eighth in the Eastern Conference with 38 wins and 35 losses.
