Scottie Barnes on what LeBron James meant to him growing up: “I was really a big Kobe fan”

Raptors small forward Scottie Barnes had a big game against the Lakers as he scored 31 points in 42 minutes of play. After the game he was asked about what superstar LeBron James meant to win when he was a young kid.

“I was really a big Kobe fan,” Barnes said. “So it was really like rivals and stuff like that. But of course, LeBron has done so much for this game. Of course he’s a Hall of Famer.

“Someone who is so influential on this game that paves the way for so many people being big athletic like my size, be able to dribble the ball, do most of different things on the floor. So, of course he was influential to a lot of young kids like me.”
