Lamar Stevens praises Rajon Rondo’s leadership: “He’s really emerged as a big time leader for us”

Cleveland Cavaliers point guard Rajon Rondo is fully embracing his role off the bench on his new team.

The soon-to-be 36-year-old has averaged 13.0 PPG/4.0 RPG/4.0 APG/45.5% 3-PT in two games with Cleveland, as he’s stepped right in for the injured Ricky Rubio.

Second year Cav Lamar Stevens has taken notice of Rondo’s presence in the locker room and said last night that he’s already emerged as a big time leader for the group.

(Via Bally Sports Ohio):

“Rondo’s been a great veteran presence for us with Ricky going down. He’s really come in and embraced the locker room, and he’s really emerged as a big time leader for us, which we need without having Ricky. I think he’s definitely adjusted his game a little bit, but it’s working for us and we need that. We need that aggressiveness from him. He’s been great so far.”

Lamar Stevens didn't think Cleveland Cavaliers were fazed by emotional environment in San Francisco
