Nets’ Kyrie Irving to make 2021-22 debut on Wednesday against Pacers, per report

Kyrie Irving is expected to make his 2021/22 season debut in the road game against the Indiana Pacers this Wednesday. Irving has been out for the season so far because of vaccination mandate in New York.

However, Irving and the Nets agreed that he could join the team and play only in road games. He cannot see any action in New York, San Francisco and Toronto, due to citywide vaccination mandates.

“Brooklyn Nets star Kyrie Irving is expected to make his season debut Wednesday on the road against the Indiana Pacers, sources tell @TheAthletic@Stadium. After missing the Nets’ first 35 games of the season, Irving has targeted Wednesday for his return.”

Irving, who is unvaccinated, has entered health and safety protocols recently, but, he is now ready to play again despite the slight delight.

The Nets are on a two-game losing skid, against mostly undermanned teams due to NBA’s protocols, and they could use a boost from the 2016 NBA champion.
