Cavaliers reportedly extend coach J.B. Bickerstaff through 2026-27 season

Cleveland Cavaliers has emerged as one of the best team in the Eastern Conference this year, as the team is currently ranked fourth in the conference with 19 wins.

J.B Bickerstaff and general manager Koby Altman worked together to reshape the Cavs young roster and build around the likes of Darius Garland, Jarrett Allen and Evan Mobley.

As a result, Bickerstaff has agreed to a long-term extension with the Cavaliers that will keep him under contract through the 2026-27 season, per Andrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

Bickerstaff replaced John Beilein as the Cavs’ coach midway through the 2019-20 season. This was the first time the veteran coach appointed as the head coach, after previous serving as an interim coach in both Houston and Memphis.
