Lakers’ LeBron James says it’s an honor to play on Christmas

Los Angeles Lakers are expected to face the Brooklyn Nets on the Christmas Day game and LeBron James claimed it’s an honor for a team to play in one despite injuries and COVID-related absences.

James explained that whatever the case is, playing in Christmas remains one of the best occasions in your career as an NBA player.

“No matter the circumstances, it’s gonna be one of the premier games I accustomed to play on Christmas,” James said after he was asked if he feels that the game against Brooklyn is lesser than other Christmas games of the past.

“It’s always exciting and an honor to be able to play on Christmas,” the four-time NBA MVP concluded after Thursday’s blowout loss to the San Antonio Spurs.

The Lakers dropped to 16-17 after Thursday’s 138-110 loss to the Spurs, and they are hoping to bounce back on Saturday against a shorthanded Brooklyn Nets’ team.
