Philadelphia 76ers are preparing to face the Milwaukee Bucks in less than two hours, and Doc Rivers shared an update on his injury-riddled squad.
The veteran coach shared an important update on Tobias Harris, who entered the NBA health and safety protocols on Nov.1. Harris is closer to a return than the other three players that are out and isolated.
Harris is the Sixers’ second-leading scorer, averaging 19.8 points so far. He is also third in rebounds (9.0) and second in assists (4.2).
“He is a lot better. He’s the one guy will be back sooner than later,” Rivers said prior to the game vs. the reigning champions Milwaukee Bucks Tuesday.
That’s finally some good news for the 76ers, who went on a six-game winning streak, before last night’s loss to the New York Knicks, despite the fact that they were missing many key players.
More specifically, the team is also missing Joel Embiid, Isaiah Joe and Matisse Thybulle, while Ben Simmons is out due to personal reasons. At the same time, Seth Curry is listed as questionable in the latest injury report.
The Sixers are on an 8-3 record, being the best team in offensive rating through 11 games, averaging 115.3 points per 100 possessions. They have also a plus-7.4 net rating to start the season.
