A bunch of improved East teams are making their way up in the standings early on, most notably the Miami Heat, Chicago Bulls, and Cleveland Cavaliers.

After finishing 4th last year, the New York Knicks will be tested in a much better Eastern Conference and coach Tom Thibodeau knows his team has to play at a high level every night.

(Via New York Knicks):

“We weren’t fooling ourselves. Just looking at the players on each team. The East is loaded, so every night you gotta bring it. An important part of winning is playing with an edge. Sometimes you can feel good about yourselves and then you get knocked down. Feel too good in this league, players are too good. We have to pick ourselves up and have a determination about us. You have to be mentally tough when facing adversity and that’s where we are right now.”
