Philadelphia 76ers add another player to the NBA’s health and safety protocols

Philadelphia 76ers sophomore guard Isaiah Joe has entered the NBA’s health and safety protocols on Thursday, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowksi reported.

Joe, who played in the last Sixers’ game vs. the Bulls, will probably miss Thursday’s game against the Detroit Pistons on the road.

As a result of Joe playing and traveling with the Sixers on their two-game road trip, the entire Sixers roster will now be tested for COVID-19 for precautionary reasons, according to Wojnarowski.

The Sixers are already shorthanded as they are going to play without Danny Green, who is suffering from hamstring tightness and Ben Simmons, who is still out due to personal reasons.

Lastly, the Sixers will also be without Tobias Harris once again on Thursday. Harris was tested positive for COVID-19 Monday, and he was placed in the NBA’s health and safety protocols.

Harris is guaranteed to miss at least ten days as a result of returning a positive COVID-19 test. As for Joe, his situation right now is unclear.
