Golden State’s veteran star Draymond Green believes Klay Thompson will take the Warriors team to another level once he returns to action.
Thompson is expected to make his debut with the Warriors this season, after missing two consecutive years with injury. Thompson will get back in action somewhere between December and January.
Green believes Thompson could make his team even better, as the Warriors have started the season with a 5-1 record, claiming considerable wins over fellow contending teams like the Lakers.
“I think we’re a pretty good basketball team right now. … Without Klay, we can still be a pretty good team, but with Klay, you know, you’re talking a whole different ballgame. So we need him back,” Green said per Mark Haynes of clutchpoints.com.
Thompson could provide another outlet for Curry’s slow nights during the regular season, if he is able to get back in form during the season.
When considering how shaky other contending teams are in the West, the Warriors could definitely be a powerhouse in the conference this season, especially if Thompson is ready to come to play for them.
