After facing Steph Curry on the opening day of the season, the Clippers went up against another elite point guard, as Ja Morant and the Memphis Grizzlies visited LA.

After another great performance, Morant led the Grizzlies to a 120-114 win over the Clippers, despite Paul George’s excellent performance.

“He’s just explosive and electrifying. I’d compare him to like D-Rose. I guarded him my rookie year, the Indy-Chicago series, and guarding Ja is very similar to how Derrick Rose was,” George said, per Tomer Azarly of clutchpoints.com.

Morant finished Saturday’s contest with 28 points, shooting 52 percent from the field in 19 attempts. He also added eight assists, two rebounds, and a steal to help the Grizzlies get the win in LA.

George has kicked off the season on a high note despite the Clippers’ 0-2 start. He finished Saturday’s contest with 41 points (15-25), 10 rebounds, and four assists.
