Avery Bradley returned to the Los Angeles Lakers after a year with other teams. The 30-year-old point guard was a Laker during the 2019-2020 season in which the team won its 17th NBA championship.

However, he did not take part in the decisive battles that year after opting out of the Orlando bubble. The Lakers management wanted to bring Bradley to the team again, but, before that, general manager Rob Pelinka checked with the team if they are comfortable with that, Anthony Davis revealed.

“I think this summer when we knew that [Avery Bradley] probably could get bought by Houston, got brought up to us and Rob [Pelinka] asked us because the whole bubble situation and all that just make sure we were all good,” he said.

“I’m like, we were all good. Then this summer, like I said, we knew we had opportunity from the buy out. We talked to him for a little bit. It didn’t work out. And then we had another opportunity and we were able to get him the third time around. We definitely wanted him here. Like I said, what he can bring to us defensively and offensively is something that we need.”
