Heading to a new start for the 2021-2022 season, the Denver Nuggets seem to be in trouble.

And coming from the words of their leader, the pressure is on.

Nuggets superstar Nikola Jokic called out his teammates in today’s scrimmage, citing troubles in playing collectively and defensive stances.

In an interview with the local media, head coach Michael Malone said the leader of the Nuggets became vocal enough to criticize the squad.

Malone further added that the veteran newcomer Jeff Green and Will Barton have made their case correcting each other.

Nevertheless, the 50-year-old strategist applauded Jokic and Jamal Murray for being accountable and courageous for speaking out about the lapses of their teammates.

It was noted recently that Malone was upset about the Nuggets, frustrated about how things weren’t going their way after failing to address the shortcomings of the team since preseason.

It may seem to be a rocky start for the Nuggets, yet the most important thing for now is the acknowledgement of everyone in giving constructive criticisms. One of the favorites to go deep and contend for the title, Denver’s potential will grow further if they can only stick to the process.

The Nuggets will play against the reigning western conference champion Phoenix Suns on Wednesday for their opening game of the season.
