LeBron James on Lakers losing vs Warriors: “I care more about the practice courts than I care about preseason games”

Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James made his preseason debut in a game against the Golden State Warriors which ended with a loss to his team (114-121). The four-time NBA champion started the game and played 18 minutes as he scored 9 points, grabbed 3 rebounds and made 2 assists.

After the game, James played down the significance of preseason games, saying practice is what matters at this point. “For me, I care more about the practice courts than I care about preseason games,” he said. “You get out there, you play rotations that you’re trying to figure out things of that nature. There’s so much you can get out of a preseason game for me individually.

“But I love our practices, I love to see what we’re doing and continue to work behind the closed doors. I don’t put too much into preseason to be honest.”
