Quinn Cook signing non-guaranteed deal with Trail Blazers

Free agent guard Quinn Cook is signing a non-guaranteed deal with the Portland Trail Blazers, according to Shams Charania.

After signing Cook, the Trail Blazers now have 18 players on their training camp roster, with two open spots remaining, including an open two-way contract.

Teams can carry a max of 20 players until rosters are trimmed to 17 (15 on standard contracts and two on two-way contracts) before the start of the regular season.

It was recently reported that Cook was scheduled to work out with the Golden State Warriors this week, but that won’t happen now.

Last season, the 28-year-old played 23 total games with the Los Angeles Lakers (16 games) and Cleveland Cavaliers (seven games).

Cook has career averages of 6.4 points, 1.7 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game in 188 NBA games.
