DeAndre Jordan has signed a deal with the Los Angeles Lakers following his buyout with the Detroit Pistons, the team announced on Wednesday.
As a result, the Lakers added more depth to their frontline by signing another veteran NBA player. Jordan spent the first 10 years of his career in LA, playing for the Los Angeles Clippers.
The Lakers will pay Jordan the minimum salary of $2.6 million. The Pistons agreed to a $20 million buyout with the experienced center.
Now, the Lakers will add Jordan to an already crowded center rotation with Anthony Davis being considered their starting center, with Dwight Howard and Marc Gasol as his backup.
