Ben Simmons has expressed his desire to the Philadelphia 76ers to be traded to another team. NBA legend Charles Barkley, who spent eight years with the Sixers, slammed the 25-year-old point guard for wanting to leave Philadelphia after the team invested significant money in him.

According to Barkley, all that the Sixers asked from Simmons was to improve his shooting, yet instead of doing that the Australian chose to go elsewhere.

“So let me get this straight. We liked you enough to give you $200 million,” Barkley said on The Mike Missanelli Show. “The only thing we ask is you be a good basketball player. We’re just saying ‘shoot the ball’ and he’s mad and wants to leave town? This is total B.S.”

This past season, the former number one draft pick averaged 14.3 points, 7.2 rebounds and 6.9 assists per game. He’s been linked with several teams so far, namely the Warriors, Cavaliers and Kings.
