The revamped roster of the Los Angeles Lakers is the oldest in the entire NBA with most of the players being 32 years old or older. One of the new additions who “helped” with increasing the average team age was Trevor Ariza.
The 36-year-old small forward returned to the Lakers after 12 years with 7 different teams. Ariza last wore the purple and gold back in the 2008-2009 season. According to him, the fact that most of the Lakers players are veterans gives the team an upside.

“I believe the upside to that is we’ve all seen so much in this league that nothing surprises,” Ariza said. “We understand how long the season is. How to pace yourself, how to take care of your body. Understanding how important it is for everybody to be on the same page to get to that ultimate goal and that’s winning the championship at the end of the year.”
This past season, Ariza averaged 9.4 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game for the Miami Heat.
