Russell Westbrook had unreal numbers during the last four seasons, ending up having a triple-double averages in multiple years.

This past season was not an exception for the veteran superstar, who helped the Wizards make the playoffs for the first time since 2017.

His shooting efficiency dropped in the last two seasons, however his effectiveness in multiple facets of the game is, at times, staggering.

The UCLA product won the MVP award in 2016-17 when he first achieved a full triple-double average campaign; he put up 31.6 points, 10.7 rebounds and 10.4 assists.

He did the same for the last four out of five seasons, becoming the All-time leader in triple-doubles, as he surpassed NBA legend Oscar Robertson.

Robertson appeared in the Knuckleheads podcast, and claimed that Russ should have won the MVP award the previous season.

“He’s got triple-doubles this year and no one even notices…I think that’s totally unfair. I think he should’ve won [MVP] again,” Robertson said.

The MVP award for the year went to Denver Nuggets star center Nikola Jokic, who led the team to the third seed in the West. Westbrook averaged 22.2 points, 11.7 assists and 11.5 rebounds with the Wizards last season.

Washington eventually clinched the eighth seed in the East via the play-in tournament, but lost to the Philadelphia 76ers in the first round.
