The Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green and former NBA champion Kendrick Perkins, who works as an analyst for ESPN, had an exchange that led to the praise of Luka Doncic.

The 22-year-old Slovenian star helped his country qualify for their first-ever Olympic Games this year and was very close to bringing home his first Olympic medal. Slovenia lost by 1 point in the semi-finals and then couldn’t keep up with Australia till the end in the bronze medal game.

Doncic was one of the top performers in Tokyo as he averaged close to a triple-double with 23.8 points, 9.7 rebounds and 9.5 assists per game. His best game came in group stage against Argentina when he finished with 48 points.

“INTERNATIONAL Players are taking over the game of Basketball!! Carry the hell on…” Perkins tweeted in reference to Doncic. “Luka nice as hell!!! Like Super nice! One of them ones for real. Now Carry the hell on!” Green responded, also taking a jab at Perkins who thought that Team USA would fail to win gold after losing opening game against France. “You thought you were on to something when we dropped one,” Green tweeted.

Perkins responded by defending his point. “Last 3 MVPs… International. Last 4 DPOYs… International. Last Finals MVP… International. They’re taking taking over the GAME, not the Olympics. The Game!!!! You Can’t out slick the slickster @Money23Green now you Carry the hell on…” he tweeted.
